Crossword Craze

This has already been posted on my livejournal, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post a photo of the shoot up here too. It's kind of silly having this blog for art, yet also posting the same content [plus more, usually] on my other blog. OH WELLS.

This project, which is indeed for a class, is about the labour intensiveness of cutting and taping up all those crossword puzzles. Well, it was just me who chose to make the labour revolve around crossword puzzles, we could do it on anything we desired. Anyway, so photography was the medium I wished to present the crosswords with. There are about 150 crosswords in total. Can you tell? It was a much more enjoyable project than I thought it would be, and I got it done a lot earlier than I believed possible. I get to present it tomorrow to the class instead of on the 20th. For once I did not procrastinate. That makes me feel proud.

Human Antlers.

My midterm project for drawing class. It was due today and I did most of the work for it today as well! I'm horrible for procrastinating. If you're curious to see the 'drawing process' check out my livejournal.

I'm not dead...

...but I have been incredibly busy!

I finished my first oil painting done at Concordia today, yay! It's 4'x3' big, the second largest painting I have ever done. So here it be.

I also have a very large midterm drawing due on Wednesday that I am yet to start! But I do have most of tomorrow and most of Wednesday to complete it so I am not freaking out.

Yay for first real posts!

I got me a nook here because it seems to be more alive with artists. I'll be using this place for dumping drawings, photography, photos of my crafts and for alerting anyone interested about new projects of mine. I'm going to try to keep this place clean of ranting that is unrelated to art, as I already have a livejournal for such babble.

The photo here was taken with my manual Nikon FM 10. Recently I have gotten back into taking manual photos, though I have to admit, I secretly pine for a digital slr. But the Nikon captures colours very impressively. None of my manual photos get manipulated in photoshop. The colours and contrast are all my cameras doing. There are more new photos, but those can be seen on my livejournal, and soon on my portfolio site too. The links are on the sidebar.

I must say, I am most excited about having a place I can casually upload miscellaneous [and not to miscellaneous] things to.
